<HTML>By default, I watch it whenever some TV station airs it, but not if it has been dubbed. The experience of missing out on some fun parts (in terms of what the characters say), or the constant frustration of knowing that certain things has been badly translated would spoil the event too much for me.
Even suboptimal subtitles can already trigger me. Not only in Das Boot (fortunately that hasn't happened yet), but in general, so... E.g. Did you know that during Pearl Harbor attack a battleship called Row was attacked? :-) Neither did I. Until, that is, I saw a Pearl Harbor documentary on National Geographic with Dutch subtitles. The worst part is that, even for someone with zero naval background, it shoudl be soooo ******** obvious from both the context and the grammar that the term "Battleship Row" as used in the english commentary cannot ever refer to 1 specific ship. That kind of mistakes make my hair stand up all the time.</HTML>
