I have three color photos taken inside the restaurant whie it was located in Helsinki.

First photo: On the wall beside a table set for four patrons, there is black banner (flag) with large white numerals.......406. On the far end of the dining room there are two more banners. One has a large red star on a white background. The other banner, located right next to it has a red hammer & sickle on a white background.

Second photo: This one shows a wine table with long-stemmed glasses and bottles of champagne (Maybe?)

Third photo: This one shows a large table covered with an assortmrent of prepared
dishes; very colorful.

Did you see this when you visited the K-81 in Helsinki?

The source of these photos was [www.subexpo.com]? dated
10/6/2000.

The following statement appears atop the page: "PROJECT 651 class submarine
with the tactical number K-81 (B-81 after 1987; plant number 522) was laidd down
at "Krasnoye Sormovo", Gorky on 11.20.1963, launched on 08.07.1964 and
commissioned on 12.14.1965." .......also "She is the only diesel submarine in the
world which has a space for the restaurant without structural alteration."

When I visited her in St. Petersburg, Florida, there was no trace of the restaurant,
but that big red star was painted on both sides of the sail.

The point I'm trying to make is that "U-484" is the figment of someone's imagination.
