This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

<HTML>Dear Mrs. Chrysafidou, dear Mrs. Rosenfeld,
well Ladies = women whose sheer presence, in word or personal doesn’t matter, causes men at least to try to behave like gentlemen, H. L. Mencken, thank you very much both for your very kind replies.
Next time I see the Admiral I’ll try to “cross” him gently in order to maybe refresh his memory a little bit on the subject.
As I mentioned on this forum before, the Admiral was asked by LGB to help and advise while shooting the film at the Bavaria Studios to make sure the inside scenario with the captain-sequences looked as real as possible. The Admiral was there for three weeks and told me first of all that the Prochnow as Captain acted brilliantly and as shown in the movie such was live on board of a VIIc-boat. I assume he meant the acting of the KBE as well. Probably starting with the movie might be a good way to start asking him those questions.
Although looking at these old newswheels of some of his patrols, where obviously a KBE accompanied him, he sometimes looks a little bit distressed as to say, why don’t you and your camera get of my back.
You all have a pleasant day.
Sincerely Yours
