Previously recorded fate

  • Sunk 28 Apr 1944 in the Bay of Biscay west of Nantes, France, in position 45.38N, 09.43W, by depth charges from a British Wellington aircraft (Sqdn. 612/W). (Postwar assessment)
    Notes. This attack was actually against U-802 inflicting no damage.
