Thanks for sharing your experiences. You know when you hear these things first hand you begin to get the real story and outlook on people. I guess Herr Hardegen has an ego as big as the fleet! Like some hot shot football player or lawyer! But in my experiences with air craft carrier pilots----there is an ego there too----but sometimes that works in a positive way. I have no plans to communicate with Hardegen at any time---now the futherest I will go is that photo I have-----but I do respect as I always have Werner Hartenstein----It is very difficult to find out info on him. I have read a book recently \"The Enemy we Killed my friend\" by Mr. Jones. I had to buy it in England and ship it here to the US. It is out of print-----Mr Jones who thinks highly of Hartenstein has been the only person to have the most info found on him----- Thanks for your note on the meeting-----
