Final location

The wreck of U-795 at Germaniawerft, Kiel after the war.

U-795 had been standing on dry land in Kiel since at least Feb of 1945 until it was blown up on May 3, 1945 in an explosion which was meant to destroy the engine room instalments.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-795 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
