Hi Terry,
The German MAN (Machinenfabrik Augsburg-Nurnberg) Diesel engine and coupled dynamo systems were in wide use in many manufacturing facilities around the world at the start of World War II (and since). The Diesel motor had been an efficient German invention, and the idea that such power plants might have been employed in a certain production facility is evidence of nothing. Particularly not the presence of treasure, and high ranking Nazi laden U-boats having been been depolyed to Argentina to begin the Fourth-Reich :-)
