Hello again Mr. Brooks,
Thank you for your open response and specificity in naming some of your sources. I hope that some of this web-site's readers in Norway can corroborate your sources there. I am sure you honestly believe what you have told us, but I remain a guarded sceptic. As they say of New England Yankees, we will believe it when we see it.
Just a few more questions:
What leads you or the members of this group to believe (taking into account that you actually believe there is a U-boat wreck in Golfo san Matias), that it carries a cargo of gold?
Additionally: That a heavily navigated Bay such as Golfo san Matias, with ports and fishing villages all around, that no major salvage effort would have been witnessed and reported by the locals. Salvaging, or even moving a 1,200 ton vessel in 3,000 feet of water would have required some large, specialised vessels and equipment (and significant time in that same area), that would not have gone un-noticed just 10 miles from shore. Large ships are easily seen from that distance from shore. I would immagine that large vessels seen loitering for days, if not weeks, just off shore, wouldn't have arroused the curiosity of everyone for miles around. By the second day, I would immagine that every curious fisherman and recreational boater would have gone out for a close look, and had they been chased away by the Argentine Navy or Coast Guard, it would have made even more prominent news headlines.
Common sense indicates that the longer this cover-up continued, and the more people would ultimately end up knowing about it, the harder it would be to keep it under cover. I have learned over time that is easy to get people to talk about supposed 'secrets', particularly, confidentially. But it is nearly impossible to keep them quiet about a great story.
Regards,
Paul
