17:27 - Added information on the encounter between the japanese submarine I-52 and U-530 in the Atlantic in 1944. The japanese boat, carrying 2 tons of gold, was sunk right afterwards.

2 German agents landed on Cape Cod, USA in Nov, 1944.Updated the profiles of U-202, U-584 and U-1230

Kptlt. Schneider on allied secret post-war projects.Added a doggerel by 'Jochen' Mohr written on his way back from the US East Coast in 1942.

Added information on access to the Kilian bunker in Kiel.
01:24 - Revised the Men Lost from U-boats 1939-1941 page.Added Men lost from U-boats information to theses boats:
U-25, U-30, U-43, U-46, U-47, U-57, U-93, U-97,
U-101, U-105, U-106, U-123, U-160, U-201, U-205,
U-331, U-562, U-653, U-701 and U-702
Those were all the losses in 1939-1941Created an emblem for the 12 Flotilla.
Added some nice detail on the Bormann case on
U-boat related Myths & Stories.
01:24 - Added 3 nice emblems to the Kriegsmarine crew Emblem page. They were for crews 37a, X/39 and XII/39. 26 Emblems already featured on the Emblem pages with much more on the way.Added an interesting page on a movie being produced called U-571 dealing with a U-boat in World War Two.
Updated the profile on U-166
Fixed a small layout bug on the Movies section.

72 Movies or films online already with many more on the way. Check this out and you'll see this is well worth it!This addition brought the size of uboat.net to over 2440 pages!
17:27 - Added information to the U-483 profile.
17:27 - Been catching up on the e-mail, some 25 replies today.Updated the Map of the Canaries, U-135 is noted as missing from it.
Updated the profile pages for the following boats;
U-167, U-220, U-767, U-1191, U-1208 and U-1276.Added the story of U-977's 108-day long patrol to Argentina during the summer of 1945.
Updated the Interesting Figures page.
17:27 - Got my NT system running again after replacing its system disk system with a super fast 9GB SCSI-2 system. Feels nice to have 13GB in the system (uboat.net alone takes about 1GB for all its development files) I think :) Took some 15 hours of work to configure the system properly though during which the e-mail poured in :)
01:24 - Added the 26 U-boat Commanders with last names starting with Z to the List of all Commanders. 328 men listed.Updated the profile on U-679
17:27 - Worked very hard on the upcoming Movies section. Hopefully finished this next week. This section is already over 50 pages.

01:24 - Opened the much anticipated Emblem pages. They contain over 30 high quality vector images already and this will increase rapidly over the course of the year. Includes Emblem of the Week that explains the emblem in question.Created a simple page called Special Items that houses special subsections that do not fit elsewhere. Emblems is hosted there for one.
Linked the Flotilla pages to the new improved emblems where available.
17:27 - Added a very interesting new 6-page feature called
Men lost from U-boats that we believe is unique to uboat.net. It's pretty close to a complete listing but we'll continue to work on it after a while.Updated the profiles for U-156 and U-174.
Been working very hard on making vector emblems for the new Emblem page, have finished 70 of the perhaps 400 emblems used in the war. Each one takes about an hour to make properly. The Emblem page will open this week and will be nice I think.
01:24 - Added an What's New archive page for December 1998.Created a page on What happened on uboat.net in 1998. This is an interesting look-back, amazingly much done really :)
