I agree that countermeasures were hard to come by when the threat was not known to be deployed.
But I did not intened to ask how a XXI could dodge a Fido.
I meant to ask how much faster a Fido could be made so it could easily catch a XXI despite the latter's high burst speed.
In your earlier post, you mentioned that if XXI's had been deployed, the Fido would simply be made faster so as to catch it. There was considerable effort expended in getting the original Fido to home effectively at up to 15 knots. I was wondering if you had any info on how the speed could have been upped further if necessary - I don't doubt that it could, I was just wondering if you knew how.
